December is here and we wish our many friends and family a healthy and happy holiday season. As we move into the new year, we would like to share our tips for keeping your tresses flowing and your skin glowing throughout the season and into the new year.

Protein – Hair mainly consists of protein, foods with protein with help it grow strong and vibrant. Sources: beans, lean meat, poultry, fish, egg whites, quinoa

Iron –  A diet rich in iron can minimize hair loss and bring shine back to dry, dull and lack-luster hair. Sources: whole grain cereals, beets, dried fruit, almonds, sesame seeds, watercress, eggs, meat, fish

Silica – Silica is  a mineral that adds resilience to your hair by fortifying it with strength. Its excellent for increasing shine and body. Sources: beets, brown rice, nuts, seeds, potatoes, peppers, cucumbers, leafy greens

Essential Fatty Acids – They improve your hair texture and prevent dry brittle hair. Sources: fish, eggs, nuts, olive oil, avocados, hemp/chia/flax seeds(also a  great source of Omega 3), legumes
